Introduction

Tools are the automations you run in Puppet — things like saving a website, managing files, or fetching data from an API. This guide shows you how to install your first tool.

Finding Tools

Open the Tools panel in the sidebar. You can search by name or browse by category. Each tool shows a short description and what it needs to run. Some tools need an API key or login; you’ll see that before you install.

Installing a Tool

Click a tool to open its details
Check what permissions it asks for
Click Install — it’s added right away

No restart needed. The tool is ready to use in your sandbox.

Adding Your Credentials

Some tools need an API key or account to work. After installing, click Configure to enter those. They’re stored securely and never shared.

Trying It Out

You can run any tool from the Tools panel before connecting it to an AI:

Select the tool
Fill in the required fields (for example, a URL)
Click Run

The result appears in the panel below.

What’s Next

Once a tool is installed, you can run it yourself or connect an AI app and ask it to run the tool for you. Just use the tool’s name when you ask.
